“Question” in Marxism – Karl Marx pondered philosophy and why things were the way they were in society as he was attempting to figure out how to change it. He was attempting to construct a modern philosophy and worldview to explain relations between distinct social and economic groups, including reaching an unprecedented depth of understanding of the relationship between the accumulation of capital and labor power, and how to best go about changing society for the better for the majority of people. In this effort, he started to ask a lot of “questions.”
